What is cranio?

Craniosacral Therapy, also known as ‘cranio’, is holistic kind of body work. Relaxing, deep and effective, the method is based on precise knowledge of anatomy as well as the fine perception of the therapist. The practitioner lays her hands on the client very respectfully (mostly on the head and sacrum) and gives fine tactile impulses which help resolve structural and energy blockages. This frees and stimulates the flow of energy throughout the body. Additionally, the healing process is supported by your self-perception, a sensations-based enquiry and working with your own resources during the session.

How does Cranio work?

Mindfulness, support and the slow pace of the treatment allow the nervous system to calm down, enabling self-regulation. The client lets go of tension, recognises harmful influences and is able to express supressed emotions. A self-regulation process frees up energy, promotes health and supports you in your personal journey.

Benefits

Craniosacral Therapy is known to alleviate pain, anxiety, stress and fatigue. It helps reduce or better cope with a wide range of symptoms. Cranio supports the nervous and immune systems, stimulates the healing process after accidents or surgery and is a wonderful resource during pregnancy. The effectiveness of craniosacral therapy has been confirmed by many scientific studies. While one session can already bring about positive change and influence your wellbeing, an accompaniment over a longer period ist often necessary to bring about lasting change.
